Salvation

1.  We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that salvation of sinners is wholly of grace through the mediatorial work of the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a represenative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood and are in possession of a salvation which is eternally secure. (Romans 3:24-26 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness; that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.; See also Romans 5:6; I Corinthians 15:1-3; Ephesians 1:7)

2.  We believe the new birth is a new creation in Christ Jesus; that it is a supernatural work wrought by the Holy Spirit in connection with divine truth, and thereby all who recieve by faith the Lord Jesus Christ become children of God. (Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.; See also Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; Romans 10:9-10)
